Can you actually believe it!?! It is November! Ahhh! This is not a drill, this is not a drill! 😂
I have barely started on my Christmas shopping, which I usually do sooner rather than later, and it’s stressing me out! I really love the process of Christmas shopping. I like to plan for gift giving all year long. A tip I have for gift ideas is to keep track of when your loved ones say, “ooo I really want ___.” I take note of that all year long and then feel more prepared for giving the best gifts! Where are you at on your holiday shopping?
And what about holiday decor? When will you guys be decorating for the holidays – before November 15th or after? I usually want Christmas decor up the second I take Halloween down, but this year is different. I don’t know if it’s because I’m trying to make time slow down or what, but I feel like if I put up all my Christmas decor that means it’s right around the corner and I want to enjoy November, gosh darnit! At the same time, I put Christmas decor up early because I want to enjoy it for as long as possible. It’s a conundrum for sure. haha! Maybe I will just slowly decorate this year. We shall see!
With all that said, I love doing these monthly Amazon favorites blog posts as it would be a great reference for anyone looking for great, unique gifts. I also plan on completing a gift guide (stocking stuffers included) to come out mid-November so stay tuned!
Now…let’s get into the favorite Amazon purchases for this month! Adios, October. You were pretty amazing.

I have loved spending more time dedicated to creating content on my blog recently, and from the feedback I receive from you all, you appreciate it too. If there are every any topics you would like to suggest as content ideas, feel free to leave a comment below or DM me over on Instagram.
Now, if you are a parent, take a moment to think of the first time you felt the weight of your responsibility of caring for your children. We got heavy early on this post. 🙂 Ok, got your moment? What or when was that? Leave me a comment below! I think the first time I felt that responsibility was the day I found out I was pregnant. I remember that day clearly. I had this feeling a lot of people talk about – “you just know” type of feeling. And when the pregnancy test read positive I was OVER. THE. MOON. I already had purchased a onesie to surprise my husband because I wanted to be prepared to tell him immediately. I still plan ahead like that as a way to manage my stress. That day was our 1 month wedding anniversary so when I handed him a gift, he didn’t think it was anything out of the ordinary.

So as many of you may recall, Donald and I moved into our first home at the end of this last May. It was a huge decision we made and in the end we decided to take a leap of faith! I remember talking with D privately before we made an offer on our home and saying something to the effect of, “are we really about to do this?” 😂
He is usually the carefree one, but on this topic he wanted to pump the brakes a bit. I then quoted him this great one:
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” – Neale Donald Walsch

Happy October 1st! 🎃
I seriously can NOT believe September is over! 😱 Am I the only one who felt like it went by in the blink of an eye? Although now that October is here, we can be in full holiday swing right?
I enjoyed last months Amazon Faves post so I am happy to continue the series this month! I didn’t have as many favorites this time around compared to last month but the ones I am going to share are SO GOOD! I also have an Amazon wishlist that I’m excited about so hoping to purchase, receive and share some lovely stuff with you all in the next few months!
Let’s get into it, shall we!

Happy Tuesday! Is it the weekend yet?
Today I want to talk about finding your inner mama bear. I’m sure you’ve all heard the saying ‘mama bear’ and some of you may even wear the name proudly, but…have you really harnessed the true inner power of the mama bear? And do you remember to use it on the daily?
A quick google search of ‘mother bear’ turns up the expected headlines: “Mother Bear Fights Tiger to Save Her Cub!” & the Urban Dictionary definition is “used when you are going to do intense work.” If that’s not the understand of the year! 😝 So we know that mama bears are fierce, right? We know that they would go to the ends of the earth for anything to do with their cubs. So what about you, mama bear?

At the inspiration of one of my favorite social media mamas, Hayley Paige, I want to start a new blog series where I share my monthly Amazon faves! And based on the poll I added to my IG story last week, you all are excited to hear more!
Amazon has quickly become one of my husband & I’s favorite places to shop. I particularly love that it sells a huge variety of items at competitive prices. With FREE 2-day shipping (sometimes 1-day) using Amazon Prime, it can’t be beat! The list I plan to share with you every month will be what I have purchased for that month and consider favorites. I warn: the list is random. 😂

From the title of this post you can probably guess what I’m about to talk about – that’s right, postpartum hair.
When I was pregnant with Calla, I was one of the lucky ones who glowed. It wasn’t the entire time, more like just at the very end, but it happened…and it was magical. I had never seen my skin so clear and springy, my nails so strong and perfect, and my hair so lush and and tame. But looking back, if I had the choice, I think I would choose no glow over glow. Why you ask? Because having the glow is AWESOME but losing it SUUUUCKS.
Postpartum is rough. You’re exhausted, eating whatever you can, and it shows! Then…you lose the glow…and when that happened I felt like I had aged 10 years! 😰 I look in the mirror and think, “exactly how much night time serum is gonna fix this?” In order for this post not to be a million words long I simply want to address the loss of hair glow because I have found a solution that has helped get some of it back.

Since it’s February and the month of love, I wanted to continue to share the love by posting about the best oatmeal cookies. Technically I add chocolate chips so these are the best chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. 😝 This recipe is perfect to bake for yourself or that special someone. I like to consider them my anytime cookies – they are that good.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, why do food bloggers take forever to get to the point? Just give me the recipe! So here ya go! 👇

Can you believe Valentine’s Day is almost here?! Is it just me, or does Christmas still feel like it’s around the corner. I was walking through my local JC Penney’s the other day and there was a blow up Santa in their appliances section with a sign that said “85 days until Christmas”. That means we get to do Halloween, Thanksgiving, AND Christmas all over again, right! 😂 At least I’m not the only one having a hard time letting go.
Thankfully my love for holidays is being fed by the upcoming Valentine’s Day. This will be our daughter’s first and I can’t wait to get her a cute gift! As far as my husband, I sometimes feel like I am major lacking in the unique gift ideas department. Especially since his birthday is only a couple weeks before and Valentine’s is also our anniversary! We will have started dating 10 years ago this Valentine’s so I want to make it extra special. Are you also lacking in gift ideas? Never fear! I’ve came across a couple great products and gift ideas that hopefully you’ll love and will make your Valentine’s easier!
